Raising Cane's Chicken Opening In Pittsburgh Area Next Year
The chicken chain is hoping Pittsburgh-area diners will give them a try. Raising Cane's will open its first area store in South Fayette.
SOUTH FAYETTE, PA —“Chicken chicken chicken, which combo are ya pickin'?”
Louisiana-based Raising Cane's is hoping Pittsburgh-area diners will give them a try, as they enter the flock of other chicken chains available.
Cane's will open in South Fayette's The Piazza development next year, Burns Scalo Real Estate announced Wednesday.

The chain wants to open almost two dozen stores in the Keystone State, but will hatch its first venture in South Fayette.
The staple at Cane's is the hand-breaded chicken fingers, served with secret-recipe "Cane's Sauce." Fries, grilled Texas toast, and coleslaw make up the side offerings.

The company said they were excited to continue growth in PA.
“We can’t wait to plant our roots in the area and get started serving our Pittsburgh Caniacs very soon!” said Dustin Shearer, Raising Cane’s Vice President of Restaurants, in an news release.
South Fayette commissioner Gwen Rodi said she was "thrilled" Raising Cane's chose the township for its first area restaurant.
"Raising Cane’s vision for quality, cool culture and community involvement reflects the values of South Fayette and makes them a perfect addition to The Piazza," Rodi said.
Burns Scalo Real Estate said they were excited to announce Cane's addition to The Piazza.
“Raising Cane’s will be a key addition to the center’s collection of restaurants and experiences,” said James Scalo, CEO.
Primanti Bros. and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill are scheduled to open at The Piazza in the fall; Raising Cane's will open by early 2023.
