Three Ways To Fill Your Fall Weekends
Even though the days are getting shorter, you can still pack a lot of fun into your weekends.

The days of swimming pools and sunshine are over, but that doesn’t mean your weekends have to get boring. Here’s a few of the activities you won’t want to miss before the snow starts to fall.
Apple Picking Apples are some of the easiest fruits to pick. They’re big enough for children to spot and not easily bruised. Many orchards also have “dwarf trees” with can make apple-picking easy for even three-year-olds. You can also visit a pumpkin patch later in the fall to pick your own pumpkins.
Hayrides Many farms offer hayrides in the fall, often in the same harvest season that you might pick your own fruits and vegetables. Early in October, they’re likely giving you a closer look at the farm to show off their grounds and animals. Nearer to Halloween, you can go for a “haunted” hayride with spooky effects.

Corn Mazes The first modern corn maze was created in the early 1990s. They’re usually between 4 and 20 acres, and while they’re designed to look like pictures or logos from above, they’re a problem-solving challenging while you’re in them.
