20 More Die On Bucks Co.'s Deadliest Coronavirus Day
All 20 of the deaths reported Wednesday were among residents of long-term care facilities, county health officials said.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Wednesday was Bucks County's deadliest day of the new coronavirus outbreak, with 20 deaths reported by health officials.
The deaths followed a familiar pattern in the county. All 20 of them were residents of long-term care facilities and the youngest of them was 69 years old, according to the Bucks County Health Department.
The deaths reported Wednesday were of 11 women and nine men. One victim was 69, while the others ranged in age from 78 to 95.

The county reported 132 new positive cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday. Of those, 57 were either residents or employees of long-term care facilities.

A large number of the others were family members or others with known contact to confirmed cases of the virus, while only 10 were instances of community spread, said county health director Dr. David Damsker.
In all, 198 people with COVID-19 have died in Bucks County. On Wednesday, 219 remained hospitalized, with 25 of the in critical condition and on ventilators. Meanwhile, 719 people have recovered and been removed from isolation.
