WARMINSTER, PA — Three teen juveniles have been charged with felonies in the November fire that destroyed the playground at McDonald Elementary School in Warminster.

The teens — a boy and a girl who are 15 and a boy who is 13 — have been charged with felony arson and criminal mischief as well as disorderly conduct, Warminster Township Police announced Monday.

On Nov. 8, officers were called to the school, at 666 Reeves Ln., after multiple people reported a fire behind the school at about 1:50 p.m.

They found the fire was started on the school's playground and that it had caused "substantial damage" to the playground equipment and surrounding area. No one was injured and firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

Investigators relied on video evidence and witness reports and ultimately charged the three teens. Police were not publicly releasing their names Monday due to their ages.
