32 Calls Handled By Warminster Fire Crews For Storm, Heat Wave

The Warminster Fire Department said calls ranged from storm-related damage to fire alarms.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Fire Department responded to 32 calls since a storm brought damaging winds and downpours to the Philadelphia region on Thursday night.

Fire officials said that the dangerous storm, followed by the ongoing heat wave, hasn't slowed down the volunteer and career firefighters of the Warminster Fire Department and Hartsville Fire Company.

Since the storm struck, the township's fire crews answered 32 emergency calls, including storm-related emergencies, downed wires, fires, fire alarms, fume investigations, and carbon monoxide incidents — all while operating in extreme heat.

The Warminster Fire Department also thanked PECO for their "tireless work" restoring power and neighboring fire departments, "who continue standing side by side with us, even while facing the same widespread impacts in their own communities."
