From fireworks to parties and live entertainment, Bucks County is ready to raise a glass and toast the arrival of 2024.

Whether we're going to watch the ball drop in Times Square in New York City late Sunday night hopefully after a Philadelphia Eagles victory earlier in the day, events are going on in Bucks County earlier in the day and until midnight that are geared toward celebrating the holiday season and raising a glass toward 2024.

Sesame Place Rings In New Year With Fireworks Celebration
Sesame Place will ring in 2024 with a fireworks celebration on New Year's Eve. The Middletown Township amusement park invites guests to celebrate the new year with Sesame Street's furry friends and festive fireworks. The park will offer a variety of holiday attractions and activities, including Sesame Street-themed rides, exciting entertainment, and winter treats. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

Take A "Holiday Lights Meander" Through Fonthill
There is still time to take in the beauty of the season at Fonthill Castle's Holiday Lights Meander in Doylestown. Visitors are invited to take the 2023 Holiday Lights Meander tour at their own pace this weekend. Knowledgeable tour guides will be available along the holiday route to answer questions and make this an experience to remember for the whole family. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

Gingerbread Competition At Peddler's Village
Peddler's Village has a holiday tradition that dates to 1984. The Gingerbread Competition & Display at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is a feast for the eyes with more than 100 creative and whimsical entries crafted by the public in different categories. The gingerbread entries will be on exhibit during shopping hours through Jan. 13 in the Visitor & Event Center. Admission is free. It's open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

New Year's Eve Bashes, Buffets Around Bucks County
Put on your party hats. Click those champagne glasses. Family New Year’s Eve Bash at Newtown Athletic Club
The Newtown Athletic Club invites families for an early start to New Year's Eve with fun and festivities including a food buffet, mega inflatables, a DJ and dancing, a cash bar for adults, movie characters, tattoo art, face painting, cotton candy, games, giveaways and more. Tickets are $35 for children and $40 per adult. Kids 18 months and under are free. NAC Family Members receive 20 percent off. The event is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the club at 207 Penns Trail in Newtown. Click here for more information.
