2 New COVID-19 Deaths In Bucks Co. As Cases Show Another Decline

Two new coronavirus deaths, including a 49-year-old woman, were reported in Bucks County over the past three days.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — After a spike last week, the number of new coronavirus cases in Bucks County returned to what health officials call a low baseline number this week.

Since Monday's report, the county has averaged about 26 new cases per day, according to the Bucks County Department of Health. That's down from 35 last week.

"This week is a good example of what we’re likely to experience for the foreseeable future," said Dr. David Damsker, director of the health department. "Our case counts and hospitalization numbers fluctuated a little bit over the past seven days, and since we won’t be at zero cases any time soon, this makes a lot of sense. Thankfully, the overall numbers are very good, and the ups and downs are minor."

Six of the new cases were at long-term care facilities, four were healthcare workers, four were workers at other workplaces and five were from out-of-state travel.
