Barkley A Beast, Contender For NFL MVP

He might be the NFL MVP. What Saquon Barkley since becoming a Philadelphia Eagle is truly mesmerizing. Whether it's jumping backward over an opponent for running lose at the Linc against the Washington Commanders, Barkley is putting up numbers —like triple digits each game for running and receiving yards —and he took off for two more touchdowns on Thursday night. He's a force and much faster than his New York Giants days. Barkley runs with a chip on his shoulder, and it's no wonder, after being dumped by the Giants. You can stay in Philly forever if you play like this every year.

Super Bowl Seeping Into Conversation As Eagles Soar

My father texts me at the start of every game: "Not looking good," he says about the start by the Philadelphia Eagles each week. I tell him that the team starts slow. And they did once again against their arch-rival the Washington Commanders with hot-shot rookie QB Jaylen Daniels at the controls. But the Birds started rolling behind a strong defense and a steady Jalen Hurts and of course, Barkley (see above) for a blowout win to become 8-2. That's six wins in a row and Philadelphia sports talk radio is also starting to talk about another Super Bowl appearance.

Embiid Returns But Rusty In Season Debut And Loss

Did you watch the debut of Sixers star Joel Embiid on Tuesday night? Whether you were watching to boo or cheer, Embiid made his season debut and showed that maybe he shouldn't have even played. He was trying to shake off the rust and his shooting and rebounding were way off in yet another loss for the team. Embiid also didn't play in Wednesday's game against the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers. And this guy was supposed to be in shape for the Olympics? It's time to bubble-wrap Embiid, put the Big Fella on ice, and pray that Tyrese Maxey and Paul George can get this team into the playoffs.

Bohm Might Heat Up Baseball Hot Stove Trade Talks

He's still young and a pure hitter. But big baby Alec Bohm may have played his last game for the Philadelphia Phillies. Bohm bombed in the playoffs and looked lost at the plate. He already cursed in his glove about how much he hated playing in Philly and was crying about calls he did not get during the playoffs. A change would do him good.
