Bensalem Police Seek Wawa Armed Robber: VIDEO

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem have released video of a robbery in which a man stole cigarettes from a Wawa, claiming to have a gun.

The robbery happened at the Wawa at 3620 Street Rd. at about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, according to police. They say a man walked into the store and asked the clerk for cartons of cigarettes.

After the clerk put the cigarettes into a bag, the man reached over the counter trying to grab them. He walked around the counter, pushed the clerk and said, "Back off. I have a gun," before stealing the cigarettes, they say.

Police are asking the public to watch the video and look at a photo of the man suspected in the robbery. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Bensalem Police at 215-633-3719.
