WARMINSTER, PA — The Bucks County Intermediate Unit has announced that they opened an interactive learning center in Warminster on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

The Fabrication Laboratory Center, or Fab Lab Center, is a new learning center that focuses on STEAM-based, interactive learning experience. The center will offer "programs, events, and activities designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and artistic expression through collaboration, communication, and critical thinking," according to a statement from the Bucks IU.

CNC routers, 3D printers, a laser engraver, vinyl cutters, and silhouette fabricators are just a few of the tools that residents will be able to use as they learn more about hands-on skills they can use in their careers and everyday lives. Interactive courses on robotics will also be offered at the center. The implementation of courses based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) will be available for all Bucks County residents looking to learn new skills as the new year approaches.
