BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County has created a website to serve as a clearinghouse for local information on the outbreak of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19.
The Bucks County Coronavirus Data Portal posts information including the current number of presumptive positive cases of the virus in Bucks County, closures of schools, government offices and businesses and contact information for local health officials.
It includes links to recent briefings from health and government officials, news updates from the county and links to sites for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization and Pennsylvania Department of Health.

"We understand you have questions and concerns, most of which can be answered on those websites ...," the Bucks County Health Department said on its own website. "We ask for your cooperation in going to the CDC or state websites for those answers instead of calling our department. This will allow our staff to receive updates and answer calls coming from the state DOH, doctors offices, hospitals and other healthcare providers regarding this disease outbreak."
As of Tuesday morning, there were seven presumed positive cases of the coronavirus reported in Bucks County.
Three new cases had bee reported in Bucks County late Monday. Health Department Director Dr. David Damsker said out-of-state or out-of country contacts have been identified as the sources of two of the cases. The third case is still being investigated, he said.
