Centennial School Buses Getting Cameras
The school district is joining Bus Patrol to crack down on drivers who illegally pass school buses.
WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Centennial School District will become the latest in Bucks County and the Philadelphia region to arm its school buses with cameras to crack down on drivers who pass them illegally.
Starting next month, the school district, and Ivyland, Warminster, and Upper Southampton police departments will partner with Bus Patrol, a school bus safety program.
Centennial school officials said a fleet of 65 district buses has been modernized with advanced safety technology, including photo enforcement cameras to detect vehicles that illegally pass stopped school buses.
