Citizens Academy Launching In Warminster
Warminster officials are seeking applicants for the township's first Citizens Academy, which will begin in April.

WARMINSTER, PA —It's becoming trendy among local governments, giving residents a look behind the curtain at how municipal operations function on an everyday basis.
Warminster Township is launching a Citizens Academy for residents who want to learn more about the workings of municipal government.
The Citizens’ Academy is a free, five-week program that will take place every Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Township administration building, located at 401 Gibson Ave.

The academy begins in early April.
The Citizens Academy is an interactive education program that will help residents become more acquainted with the Township’s operations, policies, and procedures.

Each session will feature a presentation on a specific topic and will allow for a discussion with a township employee/official.
The program has been developed to provide residents with a glimpse of the inner workings of municipal government, to foster civic leadership, and to allow residents to become more informed about how the township operates.
The dates and topics for each session are:
- April 2 —Program Overview, Administration, & Finance
- April 9 —Licensing & Inspection
- April 16 —Police Department & Emergency Management Services
- April 23 —Parks & Recreation and Public Works
- April 30 —Warminster Public Library
