LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning for Lower Bucks County late Thursday into Friday.

The National Weather Service of Philadelphia/Mount Holly said that the coastal flood warning —which impacts areas around the Delaware River like Bristol Borough, and Bensalem —is in effect with "one to two feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways."

The weather service said there's a chance of showers through Friday. High winds are likely, with gusts of up to 35 mph possible Thursday night.

Then, scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are forecasted for Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.

More rain is likely overnight Thursday and early Friday morning, turning into partly sunny weather in the afternoon.

Thursday: Showers likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 72. Breezy, with a south wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9 p.m. Low around 59. Breezy, with a south wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers between noon and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. High near 66. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
