Phillies Have 2nd Worse Record Since All-Star Break

The Fightin' Phils have lost their fight. The Philadelphia Phillies have the second-worst record in baseball since the All-Star Break. Their record is not nearly as pathetic as the Chicago White Sox, who lost more than 20 straight games at one point this season. But it's pretty bad. The team is in turmoil and can't hit a lick during what Manager Charlie Manuel called "hittin' season." Slumping into September isn't ideal for the fading Phillies.

But maybe there's some hope....The Phillies have now won two straight, have the best record in the National League again and had recent Lehigh Valley callup Weston Wilson hit for the cycle against the Washington Nationals on Thursday night.

Joel Embiid Earns Gold Medal While Riding The Bench

There was Joel Embiid, watching just like any other fan as Stephen Curry sank three-pointer after three-pointer to put away France and finish off the Olympics for the U.S. Men's Basketball Team. Embiid earned a gold medal but really deserves a participation trophy for his lackluster play. Embiid was criticized for being out of shape and getting booed for not playing for France, where he has citizenship. Let's hope JoJo gets his act together for the Sixers' season.

The Hated Dallas Cowboys Worth Lots Of Green

We Philadelphia fans hate the Dallas Cowboys. We hate Owner Jerry Jones. We even hate listening to Tony Romo or Troy Aikman provide analysis on NFL games. So we will hate this report: the Dallas Cowboys franchise is worth lots of green.

And we're not talking about Kelly Green.

Sportico’s 2024 NFL rankings released on Tuesday stated that the Cowboys were valued at $10.32 billion, the most valuable franchise in the NFL, and a $1 billion increase from the last estimate.

Mike Missanelli Returns To 97.5 The Fanatic

Sports Talk Radio Legend Mike Missanelli came back to The Fanatic on Monday, making his return after leaving the station a few years ago. The Mike Missanelli Show is now on Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Missanelli has been on Philadelphia sports airwaves for three decades.

Super Bowl Hero Nick Foles Calls It A Career

He's the only Super Bowl MVP in Philadelphia Eagles history and the man who ran one of the great plays in the Super Bowl too. Nick Foles is a legend who will never have to buy a drink in the City of Brotherly Love again. Foles announced that he will retire as an Eagle and will be honored during the team's first home game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons.
