Embiid Missing In Action, Unknown When He'll Play

Have you seen Sixers Superstar Joel Embiid? (Patch has put him on a milk carton!) The tour de force has yet to join the Sixers lineup and play in a game this year. But he is doing something Allen Iverson always hated: "Practice, Practice, Practice." Still, it's hard to win when one of the top players in the NBA has yet to suit up. This might be a new strategy to have Embiid healthy for the playoffs. But you can't make the playoffs if you don't win enough games.

Eagles Soaring As They Face Their Super Bowl Coach

We gave them up for dead a few weeks ago. But the Philadelphia Eagles are soaring once again. Jalen Hurts and company will now face our old friend, Super Bowl-winning coach Doug Pederson, and his pathetic Jacksonville team. That team is so bad that the Birds game got flexed to ate afternoon instead of a Sunday Night Football spotlight. WIP Sports Radio is calling this a "trap game," meaning the Eagles are thinking ahead to the Dallas Cowboys next week. This is one game that the Birds can't let slip away if they want to get back to the Super Bowl.

Phillies Going "All In" on Free Agent Superstar Soto

Juan Soto is free. As in free agent. As in no more New York Yankees. As in he's open to playing for any team. As long as someone gives him $700 million. Well, reports are saying that the Philadelphia Phillies are all in. And the Phillies owner certainly has the cash. Soto also has connections, having played with Bryce Harper, Trea Turner, and hitting coach Kevin Long in Washington. He might jump be the answer to get this team over the hump.

It's Not Too Shady For McCoy to Be An Eagle Hall of Famer

One of the big features of Sunday's Philadelphia Eagles game is that running back LeSean McCoy is being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame during a halftime ceremony. McCoy is the franchise's all-time leading rusher. That's pretty impressive considering stupid Coach Chip Kelly traded him to Buffalo. At least McCoy wrapped up his career with a Super Bowl ring as part of Tom Brady's Bucs. But Shady will always be an Eagle. And this honor is quite an accomplishment considering the Birds have had Wilbert Montgomery, Tommy McDonald, Steve Van Buren, Duce Staley, and Brian Westbrook in their backfield. Congrats Shady! And Fly Eagles Fly!
