Flood Watch In Effect Tuesday For Lower Bucks County
Areas around the Delaware River and the Neshaminy Creek are prone to flooding in Lower Bucks County, the National Weather Service said.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A flood watch is in effect for Lower Bucks County on Tuesday due to an excessive rainfall forecast, the National Weather Service said.
The weather service in Mount Holly/Philadelphia said the flood watch is in effect from 2 p.m. Tuesday until last Tuesday night.
Lower Bucks County is prone to flash flooding in Lower Makefield Township and Bristol, and along the Neshaminy Creek.

The National Weather Service said excessive rainfall runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Another round of heavy showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop Tuesday afternoon and continue into the evening.

The storms have the potential to bring rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches within a brief period leading to flash flooding. Localized total rainfall amounts up to 4 inches will be possible before showers and storms wind down overnight Tuesday night.
Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop, the National Weather Service said.
