Lemonade Stand Raises More Than $200 for American Cancer Society

Rather than spend the last weekend of summer vacation squeezing as much time at the beach or in front of the television as possible, seven-year-old Savannah Zeaman decided to use her time for a great cause.

On Saturday afternoon, Savannah set up a lemonade stand outside her Warminster home and began selling refreshing cups of juice and flashy rainbow loom bracelets to passersby. Savannah's mother, Lori Zeaman, also sold bracelets at work.

With her older brother, Daulton, as banker and assisted by her friend, Allie, Savannah raised approximately $250, which will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

"One of my close friends is undergoing her fourth surgery for a sarcoma," said Zeaman, who is looking for a bank to match the donation. "It was a great day, and a very proud moment for us as parents."
