Man Charged In Fatal Warminster Crash Going To Trial

WARMINSTER, PA —A 43-year-old township man charged in the death of a man in a fatal crash in July is going to trial, officials said.
Nicholas Toth of Warminster was charged with homicide by vehicle for the fatal July 16 crash on Newtown and Coventry roads in which authorities said he was speeding far above the 25 mph posted speed limit.
District Justice Christopher O'Neill told Patch Wednesday that Toth's charges are being held over for trial before a Bucks County Court of Common Pleas judge. No trial date has been set.

The crash killed 78-year-old Michael Maddock, who was found stuck between the passenger seat and the floorboard of his 2011 Nissan Rogue, requiring firefighters to free him, court records stated.
Toth was driving his 2021 Nissan Sentra north on Newtown Road when he saw Maddock’s car driving toward him in the southbound lane, authorities said.

Toth has been charged with the following offenses: Homicide by Vehicle, and reckless driving for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
