Memorial Day Parade Planned For Ivyland

IVYLAND BOROUGH, PA —The borough will pay its respects Monday with a Memorial Day parade and ceremony.

Mayor Tony Judice said the borough's annual parade will kick off at 8 a.m. Monday from the Ivyland Schoolhouse on Willard Avenue and wind through the streets of historic Ivyland.

It will end at the Veterans Memorial at Wilson and Pennsylvania Avenues.

The parade will include the Color Guard from Ivyland Boy Scout Troop 200, The William Tennent Marching Panthers, The Ivyland Fire Company, 129th PA Volunteers, Borough Council members, and the mayor.

Also invited are District Justice Chris O'Neill and former District Justice Daniel Finello.

The guest speaker at the ceremony will be State Representative Brian Munroe.

An Ivyland tradition is to invite the children of Ivyland to decorate their bikes and wagons and march in the parade, Judice said.

The ceremony will take place after the parade, the mayor said.

The National Anthem will be sung by William Tennent High School singers Dakota Landis, Kalena Fuesner, Samantha Carden, and Kalena Viera.

Taps will be played and the volley will be fired by the 129th PA Volunteers.
