Nearly 300 Citations Issued In PA State Police Crackdown
State Police Troop M conducted the enforcement in Bucks County and two other counties on Wednesday.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic enforcement crackdown in Bucks County and two other counties on Wednesday, resulting in nearly 300 citations.
State Police Troop M — which covers Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton counties — has announced the results of the troopwide traffic enforcement:
- 297 Traffic Citations
- 106 Warnings
- 2 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Arrest
- 1 Drug Possession Arrest
- 1 Outstanding Warrant
Drivers are reminded to follow the mandates of Title 75 Section 3733, Fleeing or Attempting to
Elude Police Officer, which stipulates that any driver of a motor vehicle who willfully fails or
refuses to bring their vehicle to a stop, or who otherwise flees or attempts to elude a pursuing
police officer, commits an offense, graded up to a Felony of the 3rd Degree, which carries a
maximum sentence of seven years in prison, a $15,000 fine, and restitution for damages and/or injuries sustained as a result of the pursuit.
