Philly Woman Charged In Warminster Woman's Overdose Death

WARMINSTER, PA — A Philadelphia woman faces charges after police say she provided drugs to a Warminster woman who later died of an overdose on those drugs.

Margaret Beringer, 50, of Peach Street in Philadelphia was arrested Wednesday in connection with the May 31, 2018 death of Danyelle Kanavel, 34, of Warminster.

Kanavel was found dead in a residence in the 1200 block of Benn Lane in Warminster. Police say Beringer provided the drugs that led to Kanavel's death.
She is charged with drug delivery resulting in death, involuntary manslaughter and delivery of a controlled substance — all felonies. She was released on unsecured bail.

On Wednesday, Bucks County authorities announced that a Philadelphia man, 27-year-old John Silvidio, had been charged in the overdose death of Nicholas Hernandez, 24, of Warminster. Police say Silvidio sold heroin and fentanyl to Hernandez, leading to his deadly overdose.
