Play Areas At Warminster Parks Closed For Coronavirus

Details about the Warminster Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for this week also were announced Tuesday.

WARMINSTER, PA — Public play areas at all Warminster Township parks are now closed due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

Township Manager Gregg Schuster announced the closures on Tuesday. They include all playgrounds, swings, tennis courts, basketball courts and the skate park, he said.

"Park open spaces and trails remain open but please remember to practice social distancing at all times," Schuster wrote in a social media post. "Together, apart, we will get through this."

Also Tuesday, Schuster announced that this week's Warminster Board of Supervirosr meeting, scheduled for Thursday, will be held as scheduled at 7 p.m.

Supervisors will be participating via teleconference and a phone will be set up in the meeting room so the public can hear and participate. Residents are encouraged not to attend the meeting in person, Schuster said.

Residents may watch the meeting live on Comcast channel 22 and Verizon channel 45 in Warminster. They may also tune in via the Warminster Township YouTube channel or listen on WRDV.
