Police Officer Promoted In Warminster Township
Corp. Brian Outland, who was promoted to sergeant at the recent Warminster Township Supervisors meeting, will lead the C Squad.

WARMINSTER, PA — A longtime member of the Warminster Township Police Department was promoted during the recent Township Supervisors meeting.
A swearing-in ceremony was held for Corp. Brian Outland, who was promoted to sergeant, where he will lead the C Squad, officials said.
Outland was sworn in by District Justice Christoper E. O’Neill at the Nov. 6 supervisors meeting in a ceremony before his wife Marianne, and his seven children.

“I had the honor of conducting Sgt. Outland’s initial interview when he joined the Warminster Police Department in 2003,” said Police Chief James C. Donnelly III. “Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into the exceptional leader he is today. On behalf of the entire department, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Sgt. Outland on his outstanding achievements, and wish him continued success.”
Outland, who grew up in the township, was a 1999 graduate of William Tennant High School.
He received a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing in 2002 from Penn State University. He graduated from the Montgomery County Police Academy in 2002 and joined the Warminster Township Police Department in 2003 as a crime scene investigator.

In 2007, he was promoted to field training officer, and in 2018, he was promoted to corporal.
Outland began his studies with the State Police Leadership Program in 2020, which he completed in 2024.
That same year he began the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) program and completed the Supervisor Leadership Institute, the first of three installments. He anticipates completing the remaining installments — the Command Leadership Institute — in 2026, and the Executive Leadership Institute — in 2027.
