Sexual Assault Kit Tracking System Pushed By Bucks Co. Lawmaker
State Rep. Brian Munroe sponsored a PA House bill calling for a statewide system to support survivors across the Commonwealth.

WARMINSTER, PA —State Rep. Brian Munroe said a PA House bill he sponsored helped secure funding to establish a statewide sexual assault kit tracking system.
Munroe —who represents the 144th Legislative District —said a $2.5 million federal award will allow the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to establish a statewide sexual assault kit tracking system, ensuring greater accountability, transparency, and most importantly, better support for survivors across the Commonwealth.
"As a retired police officer, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of sexual violence on survivors and the gaps in the system that often leave them feeling forgotten," Munroe said. "That’s why I’m particularly proud to have sponsored the House version of the bill."

Munroe said the bill received strong support of Gov. Josh Shapiro's Administration, alongside a bipartisan group of legislators and advocates.
"We are taking a crucial step forward in our efforts to improve justice for survivors," Munroe said. "This system will not only help track evidence more efficiently but also provide survivors with the assurance that their cases are being handled with the attention and respect they deserve. It's a vital move toward creating a more just and supportive environment for those affected by sexual violence."
