Shooter Fired Gun At Tennent High School: Police

The gunman chased a victim into the rear parking lot of the high school, then fired a handgun at least twice, police said.

WARMINSTER, PA — Police in Warminster continued searching Thursday morning for a shooter who chased a victim into a parking lot at William Tennent High School, then fired at him at least twice.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m., according to police.

Officers called to the school said witnesses told them a man got out of a gray sedan — possibly a Chevy Malibu — and chased his victim into the school's rear parking lot.

According to a letter to the school community from Tennent Principal Dennis Best, no students were involved in the shooting. The statement said "student-athletes and staff" were present at the time of the shooting, and that they were quickly moved inside as a precaution.

All students who were there were released to their parents and guardians once police secured the area, according to the school district.

"We greatly appreciate our partnership with the Warminster Police Department to best promote the safety of our students, staff and community," Best said.

Police shared security camera images Wednesday night of both the shooter and his car.
