Super Bowl Win Seals Deal For QB, Coach: This Week In Philly Sports
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday for the franchise's second Super Bowl title.

PHILADELPHIA, PA —Goodbye Taylor Swift. We barely saw you on Super Bowl Sunday.
But please don't shed tears for the singing sensation. It just means that the Kansas City Chiefs were not Super Bowl LIX winners in New Orleans.
The Philadelphia Eagles won their second Super Bowl with Quarterback Jalen Hurts, a stellar defense, and Coach Nick Sirianni paving the way.

So we say goodbye to Swift, Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Coach Andy Reid, and Tight End Travis Kelce as the Birds ended the Chiefs' Three-Peat chances and maybe started a dynasty of their own.
The Birds have made it to the Super Bowl twice in the past three years. They have had two Super Bowl titles since 2017.

Sirianni and Hurts did something Sunday that everyone else who has served as coach and quarterback in the organization has never done before since the Super Bowls began to be played.
They are the first coach/quarterback duo to play in two Super Bowls.
Sirianni —for all the criticism he received after the team's 2-2 start —achieved a Super Bowl victory for the Birds, something that Reid, Buddy Ryan, and Dick Vermeil never did.
The same goes for Hurts.
Donovan McNabb, Ron Jaworski, and Randall Cunningham never delivered a Super Bowl title for the Eagles.
So now where does the duo stand?
Does the Sirianni and Hurts duo move ahead of Coach Doug Pederson and Quarterback Nick Foles?
Those two won the franchise's first Super Bowl by beating the New England Patriots, Coach Bill Belichick, and Quarterback Tom Brady, yet another dynasty and probably the greatest of all time.
Maybe not yet.
But what Sirianni and Hurts did Sunday was seal the deal and cement their legacy in Birds' history.
They are now in the record books. And they are now free of the constant criticism that they can't win the big one.
They are now champions.
