Hundreds of people passed around the brats and beer Sunday afternoon as the German VE Club held its annual Sportsfest/Oktoberfest in Warminster.
The party atmosphere celebrated not only the Vereinigung Erzgebirge's German heritage but also the start of the soccer club's fall season as players of all ages paraded into the picnic grounds at 2 p.m.
After remarks from club President Joe Weiss, the beer kept flowing with the official keg-tapping ceremony. The day continued with live music, soccer games, bounce houses and more for the gathered families.
