Warminster Food Bank Gets Big Boost
Crooked Eye Brewery in Hatboro hosted a fundraiser to help the food bank, which serves Bucks and Montgomery counties.

WARMINSTER, PA — A special fundraiser is giving the Warminster Food Bank a big boost.
A fundraiser at the Crooked Eye Brewery in Hatboro raised 1,200 pounds of nonperishable food items and over $2,500 in cash, including donations from the owners of Crooked Eye Brewery and Silvio’s Deli, organizers said.
The deli, located next to Crooked Eye Brewery, provided food to patrons at the recent Sunday event with musical performances by local bands Shakin Not Stirred, Cracklin Diamond, Rescue Party, and JAB.

All donations received will help provide monthly groceries and supplies to families in need in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
The Warminster Food Bank serves over 15,000 people each year, and 95 percent of the monetary donations received are used to provide groceries to residents experiencing food insecurity.

“A big thank you goes out to everyone who came to Crooked Eye Brewery in support of this fundraiser,” said Mike Cerino, the food bank's executive director, Warminster Food Bank. “The bands were great and everyone enjoyed the music. Crooked Eye owners Jeff Mulherin, his father Paul, and Paul Hogan were gracious hosts. This event brought together members of the community for both a good time and a good cause. We appreciate their support of the food bank and are grateful to business owners like Theresa Drahovsky of Simply Décor and More for coordinating the raffle and 50/50 sales.”
“We like to help out the community whenever we can,” said Paul Hogan, co-owner of Crooked Eye Brewery. “When the chance came up to host a fundraiser for the Warminster Food Bank, we were happy to do it. We are very proud that Crooked Eye Brewery was able to host this event and help our neighbors.”

The Warminster Food Bank is a 501c3 organization that provides food to people in need in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The Warminster Food Bank serves over 650 families each month with food donated by individuals and businesses. Donations and volunteers are welcome.

Crooked Eye Brewery started with Jeff Mulherin brewing beer in his kitchen. Since 2014, the brewery has grown from five-gallon extract batches to its current seven-barrel system.
