Warminster Man Fired Rifle Into Homes, Vehicles: Police (ICYMI)

On Arbor Lane, the man was shooting a rifle at about 1:45 a.m., striking several homes and vehicles, police said.

WARMINSTER, PA — A Warminster man is under arrest after police say he fired numerous rounds with a rifle, striking several homes and vehicles in his neighborhood.

Sung Yong Hong, 56, of Arbor Lane, is charged with shooting a firearm into an occupied building, recklessly endangering others, criminal mischief and more in the early morning incident on Oct. 22.

Officers with Warminster Township Police Department were called at about 1:45 a.m. to the 600 block of Arbor Lane to a report of shots being fired. There, police say, they found Hong in his front yard in possession of several firearms, including a rifle.

Investigators learned that bullets had hit neighboring homes and vehicles, causing "significant damage." No one was injured in the shooting.

Hong was taken into custody and taken to a medical facility for treatment, according to police.

He was arraigned on Tuesday and was being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
