Warminster Paramedic Earns Service Award, Address Change for Donations

  • Congratulations to volunteer paramedic Tarah Grant, an active member with the Warminster Volunteer Ambulance Corps who received the 2013 Emergency Service Award from Burpee and the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. She received the award during a banquet on Sunday at Spring Mill Manor.
  • There has been an address change for Raechel Ruch, the Warminster woman who moved to Seattle with her mom to receive a trial treatment to help her fight against AML Leukemia. Those interested in sending donations can mail checks to Pete Gross HouseC/O Raechel Ruch, Apt: 313, 525 Minor Ave. North, Seattle, WA, 98109. Raechel's mom, Minde, has already received several donations from people who read the original article.
  • Some of the 5th grade students at McDonald Elementary discovered Navajo ways and their connections to the area during the annual "The Navajo Connections Learning Event" on October 25. Mr. Joseph Pisacano shared with the 5th grade students at McDonald his experiences, adventures and many artifacts he acquired while working and learning with the Navajo children.
  • A representative from the Pine Run Retirement Community will be available to answer questions about the Doylestown-based community between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Health Connections located in the Warminster ShopRite.
  • Mostly cloudy today with a high near 69, according to the National Weather Service.
