Warminster Sees First Heavy Snowfall of the Season
The accumulation started at about 9 a.m. in Warminster, with one to two inches total expected for the day.
What began Tuesday morning as a modest storm quickly built up to the first significant snowfall of the season. According to the National Weather Service, the Warminster-Doylestown area will accumulate between 2 and 4 inches of snow before the day is finished.
A mixture of snow and rain has hit the area all day, affecting the morning commute and possibly being a factor when a child was struck by a school bus at Street and Centennial roads. The slushy conditions make for another slippery ride in the afternoon drive, so drivers are asked to remain cautious.
The National Weather Service says the precipitation will end tonight, with a sunny, but chilly, outlook for the rest of the week.
