The organization launched its Star Program soon after, which aims to honor libraries that go above and beyond in its metrics for community engagement. The PA Forward metrics for success include recognizing literacy as more than just knowing how to read: they identify the five literacies as Basic Literacy, Informational Literacy, Civil and Social Literacy, Health Literacy, and Financial Literacy.
The Warminster Township Free Library has been recognized as an institution that upholds the importance of each of these kinds of literacy in its work.
