City budget shows more than $160K decrease in 2026 (timesobserver.com) — Warren City Council’s proposed 2026 budget is just over $160,000 lower than this year, even as expected tax revenue rises by more than $380,000. Spending would shift noticeably, with Public Works facing a 12% cut and major reductions in the Community Improvement Program Fund, while finance, administration, and parking funds see modest increases ahead of Monday’s final vote.
   

2. School Board discusses rotating meeting sites (timesobserver.com) — Warren County School District leaders are weighing whether to rotate school board meetings around the district instead of keeping them only at the central office, and may survey residents first. Supporters say traveling meetings and restored Zoom comments could boost access, while officials warn that technology limits and extra mileage costs must be considered before any change.
   

3. Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign needs community's help (timesobserver.com) — Warren’s Salvation Army is only halfway to its $50,000 Red Kettle goal, and organizers are urgently asking local residents to donate or volunteer as Christmas Eve nears. Bell ringers are especially needed at Walmart, Tops, Shurfine, North Warren’s Northwest Savings Bank, and Arbor House, with donations even being doubled this Saturday through a matching grant.
   

4. Recent Deaths 12/10/25 (venangoextra.com) — Area readers are notified of several recent deaths, including Cynthia “Cindi” Ann Hummel, 73, of Warren, formerly of Franklin, who passed away on December 6.
