• Kitchen ceiling has 2 significant holes: Franklin County restaurant inspections, Dec. 14, 2025 (witf.org) — A recent state inspection found Bobby D’s Pizza on Pen Mar Road in Waynesboro in compliance overall but needing to repair two significant holes in its kitchen ceiling and clean some food equipment. Other Franklin County establishments, including several in Chambersburg and Mont Alto, passed with either no violations or minor issues corrected on-site.
   

• Juvenile arrested for alleged stabbing and assault in Franklin County (fox43.com) — A serious stabbing and assault in Washington Township, just outside Waynesboro, left a neighbor with multiple stab wounds and head injuries from a baseball bat on Sunday morning. Police say the juvenile suspect also stole the victim’s car but was later tracked by cellphone, pursued on foot in Bedford County, and taken into custody on a felony warrant.
   

• Patricia L. (Rock) Sellers 1941-2025 (fcfreepresspa.com) — Waynesboro-area readers are mourning Patricia L. (Rock) Sellers, a 1959 Waynesboro Area Senior High School graduate who was born in Waynesboro and later lived in Greencastle. The devoted homemaker and former Gibbles Restaurant and Waynesboro Knitting Mill worker is remembered by her Greencastle- and Waynesboro-based family, with private graveside services planned at Browns Mill Cemetery.
