Chrysanthemum Festival Open This Month At Longwood Gardens
The festival runs today through Nov. 12 at the Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square.

KENNETT SQUARE, PA–From tiny pom-poms to oversized blooms, more than 5,000 chrysanthemum plants in rich colors of yellow, orange, lavender, maroon, and more transform the grand Conservatory at Longwood Gardens into an autumnal dream during Chrysanthemum Festival, on view now through Nov. 12.
Combining art and horticulture, the Chrysanthemum Festival brings an ancient art form practiced throughout Japan and China to Longwood.
“Chrysanthemum Festival is horticulturally the most challenging exhibition we present every year, and its success is credited to our wonderful and diligent team,” said Sharon Loving, chief horticulture and facilities officer at Longwood Gardens.
