CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Chester County Health Department has alerted residents who have registered interested in getting vaccinated that emails to those "next in line" are not junk mail.
The health department is checking if people who registered are still interested. In the scramble to get vaccinated, many have registered somewhere other than with the county. Pharmacy chains, health care providers, and a program to vaccinate school staff have all been busy getting people vaccinated who may have registered with the county at an earlier time.
"As scheduling of COVID-19 vaccine appointments for the coming week continues, the Chester County Health Department is sending out an email to a number of Phase 1A individuals who are 'next in line' to receive the vaccine. The email is requesting feedback on whether or not any of the individuals have already received their vaccine."
The Chesco health department posted on social media, "If you receive this email, it IS from the Chester County Health Department. If you receive this email and you STILL WANT THE VACCINE, please respond to the instructions in the email."
Information on the COVID-19 vaccine and registration for it in Chester County can be found here.
