Local West Chester School Selected as Apple Distinguished School

Chesterbrook Academy® Elementary School in West Chester Selected as an Apple Distinguished School for Third Consecutive Time

Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in West Chester is pleased to announce it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2024–2027 program term. Schools apply and are selected for this distinction based on their commitment to continuous innovation in education and using Apple technology to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning. This designation marks the third consecutive renewal of the school’s designation as an Apple Distinguished School. All Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School educators are Apple Teachers, and constantly collaborate with each other on the use of technology in the classroom to develop and implement new strategies.

  • Students in kindergarten create a quarterly podcast using GarageBand
  • Using iMovie and green screen technology, students in first grade record Presidential speeches
  • Students in second grade learn basic coding concepts with their Memoji
  • Using the ARMakr app, students in third grade learn about issues impacting our oceans
  • Students in fourth grade design and prototype an app in Keynote as part of an App Design Showcase
  • Fifth-grade students invent, market, and pitch a product designed to solve a real-world issue
