Low-Cost Bus Line Abandons West Chester Route
OurBus Stops Service from West Chester to NYC After Less Than a Year

West Chester has lost a convenient low-cost way to get to New York City and unfortunately just in time for the holiday rush. Beginning last December OurBus, a community-based bus service, began a daily route from West Chester to New York City. The bus left at 7 in the morning and arrived in New York just before 10 a.m. However the route is no longer in operation.
“We had to stop the bus from West Chester due to low ridership and unfortunately cannot provide a specific date or time we will be resuming the trip,” reported a rep for the company.
The company still offers service from Malvern. A round-trip ticket will cost you roughly between $45 and $75 depending on when you are traveling.

Other options to get to New York City this holiday season include catching an Amtrak train from the Exton station or joining a West Chester Park and Recreation Department bus trip to the city. The next trip is scheduled for December 5 and the cost is $55 a person for a round trip ticket.
