Milling, Paving Planned On Several Chesco Roads Next Week

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Numerous roads in Chester County will have lane closures due to milling and paving work next week.

Some of the planned work will take place overnight while other projects will be ongoing during the daytime.

Below are the planned work schedules and areas:

• Sunday, July 9, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) between the U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) bridge over branch of Tweed Creek and the Maryland State line in West Nottingham and East Nottingham townships for milling and paving;
• Sunday, July 9, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 272 (Christine Road/Chrome Road) between Baltimore Pike and the Maryland State line in West Nottingham and East Nottingham townships for milling and paving;
• Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 345 (Bulltown Road) between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Route 23 (Ridge Road) in Warwick and East Nantmeal townships for milling and paving;
• Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) between the U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) bridge over branch of Tweed Creek and the Maryland State line in West Nottingham and East Nottingham townships for milling and paving;
• Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 272 (Christine Road/Chrome Road) between Baltimore Pike and the Maryland State line in West Nottingham and East Nottingham townships for base repair and milling and paving; and
• Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Chrome Road between Barnsley Road and State Road in Elk and East Nottingham townships for paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
