Motorists: PECO Utility Upgrades In West Chester Begin Monday
Motorists are warned to exercise caution when driving West Chester and surrounding municipalities as PECO crews will be working on upgrades.
WEST CHESTER, PA —PECO utility improvements begin Monday, March 13 on state roads throughout in West Chester and Upper Oxford Township.
PennDOT reminds motorists to exercise caution and allow extra time when driving in and around West Chester. The road will be reduced to one lane or closed in both directions.
The work is part of PECO’s $1.36 billion on targeted reliability-focused electric system infrastructure investments during a five-year period from 2021 through 2025.

PECO said the work will help to prevent customer outages, modernize the electric grid, and reduce the impact of extreme weather on electric infrastructure. This work will also support the adoption of clean energy resources.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

- Tuesday, March 14, through Thursday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled on King Road between Princess Lane and Stallion Lane in West Chester Borough; and
- Tuesday, March 14, through Sunday, April 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a weekday lane closure including weekends is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Cullen Road and Catamount Road in Upper Oxford Township.
