PENNSYLVANIA — A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks and Chester County will close overnight Sunday for scheduled bridge work, according to officials.

The closure of Interstate 76 will start at 12:01 a.m. Sunday and continue through 6 a.m. between the Morgantown Interchange — or Exit 298 in Berks County — and the Downingtown Interchange — or Exit 312 in Chester County, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Authority said in a news release.

"The closure is necessary for the protection of motorists and workers so crews can safely install overhead bridge beams," the agency said.
