Pennsylvania State Police At Avondale January 2024 Reports
State police report retail thefts, drunken driving, drug offenses and a crash in January.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA - A thief stole $495 worth of food on Jan. 24 from the Giant in Penn Township on West Baltimore Pike, Cochranville, state police at Avondale report. Police said a suspect has been identified.
Police also reported incidents in January:
- Retail Theft: Two suspects, ages 17 and 19, of Newark, DE were arrested Jan. 29 on charges of retail theft in East Marlborough Township.
- Drunken Driving: Police arrested a 61-year-old Cochranville woman on Jan. 29 on a charge of drunken driving and related offenses following a traffic stop at 5:18 p.m. in the U.S. Route 1 and Route 796 in Penn Township.
- Credit Card Theft: A 45-year-old West Grove woman reported to police on Jan. that five credit cards were reported using her information.
- Drug Possession: At 1:09 p.m. on Jan. 24, troopers responded to a report of a juvenile with a THC vaping pen at Chester County Technical College in Penn Township.
- Accident Report: A two-vehicle crash occurred during snow on Jan. 12 on Lancaster Avenue west of Bethel Road in Lower Oxford Township. A motorist driving southbound on Route 472 lost control of the vehicle and slid into the northbound lane and off the roadway, striking a vehicle parked in a driveway.
