2 Adults, Child Dead In Apparent Homicide-Suicide: Chesco DA
Chester County District Attorney's Office and East Marlborough Township Police announce an apparent double homicide and suicide today.
CHESTER COUNY —Two adults and a child were found dead surrounded by bullet casings today in an apparent domestic-related double-murder/suicide in a home on Federal Walk in Kennett Square, investigators said.
East Marlborough Township police found a 55-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman, and their 12-year-old child dead surrounded by bullet casings, according to a news release from Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan.
A semi-automatic handgun was observed on the floor near the male, police said.

Detectives learned that there was a history of domestic violence.
The names of the deceased were not released pending notification of next of kin.

“We are doing a thorough investigation into the events that led up to this horrible incident,” East Marlborough Township Police Chief Robert Clarke said.
“While residents may be feeling uneasy in light of this event, I assure everyone that community safety is our number one priority,” the chief continued.
Ryan said the investigation is ongoing, and she will provide updated information as soon as possible.
“This is an inconceivable tragedy for the victims’ family, their loved ones, and our community,” Ryan said. “You have my deepest sympathy. We will use all our resources to determine why this heartbreaking and senseless incident happened.”
