School Shooting Threat In Chester County, 1 Arrested

One person is in custody following the incident Wednesday morning, state police said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A threat of a school shooting was made in Chester County on Wednesday and a teenager is in custody, state police said.

The incident occurred at Avon Grove High School in Penn Township at around 11:12 a.m.

State police described the shooting threat only as a "threat of violence towards students." It is not yet clear how the threat was made or the specific details of the threat beyond that it referenced a shooting.
