Security Patrols on the Agenda Tuesday
The West Chester Public Safety Committee will once again discuss the private security patrols in the neighborhoods near West Chester University.

The West Chester Borough Council Committee’s will hold the second of their two monthly meetings on Tuesday. The Public Safety, Finance and Planning, Zoning and Industrial Development Committees will meet on Tuesday starting at 5:30.
The committees make recommendations to full council that will then be voted on later in the month.
Public Safety: The public safety committee will once again discuss continuing the security guard patrol service in the southeast neighborhoods. The council has already approved renewing the program, but on Tuesday they will discuss bids they received. They will also once again discuss the establishing of “quiet zones” in the neighborhoods near the university.

Finance: The finance committee will discuss authorizing several departments to hire new personnel. Two public works mechanics have resigned as well as the department director. Wastewater also needs a new lab technician at the Goose Creek plant.
Planning, Zoning and Industrial Development: First Presbyterian wants to build a cupola. Other than that there’s not a whole lot.
