Small Business Saturday In West Chester To Offer Gifts, Treats

WEST CHESTER, PA —Saturday is an important day for independently owned local businesses in the borough of West Chester.

It’s Small Business Saturday, the kickoff to “shop small” events in emphasizing the power of dollars spent in local communities.

The borough, which is the county seat, has over 50 retail stores and 60 restaurants participating.

The borough is providing free parking from Friday through Sunday.

“Our small businesses are the backbone of the West Chester community,” said John O’Brien, executive director of the West Chester Business Improvement District.

“Whether you are looking for clothing, jewelry, vinyl records, or gift cards West Chester has you covered,” O’Brien said. “Remember Buy Local, or say Bye-Bye to Local.”

Hometown Highlights

He is just a sampling of dozens of the local businesses participating in this year's event:

• All the Dogs: 13 S. Church St., 15 percent off all purchases. Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m to 4 p.m.
• Blink: 136 W. Hay St., a clothing store offers 35 percent off all purchases. Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday: noon to 4 p.m.
• Bryn Mawr Running Company: 24 S. High St., in store discounts on apparel and footwear; Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m; Sunday: noon to 4 p.m.
• Iron Hill Brewery: 3 W. Gay St., buy a $75 gift card and receive a $25 bonus card; Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• La Tarine: 109 WE. Gay St.: 15 percent off all gifts; Friday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday is closed.
• Grey Oyster Bar: 7 N. Church St., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 p.m. to 9 p..m. Sunday.
