Jeff Crivello, the former CEO of Famous Dave's BBQ, is in the process of purchasing 10 different Iron Hill locations, including eight in Pennsylvania and Delaware, according to multiple media sources, including KYW and the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Iron Hill had been a staple throughout eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware for years, ever since its first location opened in the region in 1996. Within the past decade its reach had expanded to numerous locations throughout the suburbs.
Iron Hill did not disclose the exact reason for their closure, though they had been struggling in recent years and had already closed several of their establishments, including in Phoenixville nearly a year ago. Increasing competition in the gastropub space, particularly from the rise of microbreweries often partnering with celebrated food trucks, could have played a role.
Though the chain is concentrated around the Philly region, there are also locations in Georgia and South Carolina.
