Chesco Crash Survivor Awakes, Knew Boyfriend Died From A Dream: Report

Fireman Colin Reedy died and his girlfriend, Emily Gindele, is recovering and plans to give back to her community.

UWCHLAN TOWNSHIP — Fireman Colin Reedy died and his girlfriend Emily Gindele was critically injured responding to a service call on Oct. 20.

The two had just joined the West Whiteland Fire Company and were responding to a fire alarm at 9 p.m. at the Exton Mall in Uwchlan Township when Reedy’s car veered off the roadway, striking trees.

Reedy died at age 25.

Gindele, 24, was taken to Paoli Hospital, where she was treated for injuries including back, skull, and rib fractures.

Several days after the procedures, Gindele awoke. Her parents told her that Colin had died, but she said she already knew about it in her dreams, according to an ABC6 report Tuesday.

“I don’t remember talking to Colin, but I sort of remember talking and seeing him in my dreams,” Gindele told ABC6.

However, she does not remember what happened when Reedy died. She remembers only being in a restaurant and then getting a call from the West Whiteland Fire Company about what happened.

Gindele said she hopes to fully recover and live out Reedy's legacy of giving back to the community by working at the firehouse and helping those during tough times.
