U.S. Rep Chrissy Houlahan Tours LCH Health And Community Services
The facility provides healthcare and other services to low-income residents in southern Chester County.

CHESTER COUNTY — U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan toured LCH Health and Community Services this week to thank the staff for providing quality care during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“At a time when quality, accessible health care is top of mind in our community and across the country, we are grateful to have their services,” Houlahan, a Chester County Democrat, said.
Houlahan said there is a need to keep the hospital open, noting she supported providing significant funding for LCH in the American Rescue Act.

“Health care workers represent the best of our community’s values, and I’m incredibly grateful for the dedicated staff at LCH who continue to serve the people of southern Chester County.”
The visit this week marks Houlahan’s third visit since the Jennersville and Brandywine hospitals closed, impacting the region’s health care landscape.

Houlahan said that she is proud to have passed the American Rescue Plan that delivered significant federal funding to LCH to keep their doors open.
Federally accredited facilities like LCH serve a wide range of patients, including those covered by Medicare and Medicaid and a holistic approach to providing social services.
“LCH Health and Community Services is uniquely positioned to align resources and services to benefit the community here in Southern Chester County,” said Dr. Joseph Greco, medical director.
“I am proud of our staff for meeting the challenge to focus on preventable chronic illness and to address mental health in the people that we serve. We continue to advocate with the belief that our patients are the most deserving recipients.”
Ronan W. Gannon,CEO, thanked Houlahan for visiting the hospital to discuss the ongoing needs for the LCH to serve the community.
“LCH serves a large and diverse population in Southern Chester County and plays an important role in addressing care disparities,” Gannon said.
